The Rijndael
The Rijndael is a cryptography and digital privacy meet-up/conference for technology executives, strategy leaders, cybersecurity practitioners, privacy advocates, and cryptography enthusiasts.
Although cryptography is widely used in our daily lives, information security professionals haven't been able to embrace the subject. This is primarily because the government dominated the field of cryptography until the 1970s, and mathematicians and academicians dominated it after that. Even today, most cryptography conferences and presentations are math heavy. The average cybersecurity practitioner has always felt like an "outsider" and is worried about opening that can of worms!
In today's digital world, cybersecurity practitioners do not have a choice - they must open that can of worms to understand and implement the crypto-agility program in their organization. The Rijndael strives to help cybersecurity professionals understand cryptography and its implementation challenges.
Mission
The Rijndael's mission is to foster the growth and development of cryptography, digital privacy, and data security for the betterment of society. The Rijndael will provide an interactive and informative platform to increase awareness, promote the latest advancements in research, set a stage for presenting new ideas, and facilitate networking and collaboration among academia, industry, and government.
